Listen First, Then Build—a Client-Centered Approach
Grounded in principles I learned from my father and grandfather—to provide quality materials and excellent customer service—I have been building and remodeling in Bodega Bay, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Calistoga, Cazadero, and the Russian River area for more than 30 years.
Utilizing recycled old-growth wood, purchasing lumber from sustainable and renewable harvests, bringing energy-efficient alternative materials and methods into the process, and building green are central to my vision. My Green Building record started more than 15 years ago, when I built the first of several solar homes. It integrated various kinds of alternative energy.
I have experience with a wide variety of architectural styles, from Arts and Crafts to traditional Victorian as well as contemporary. Creating buildings with lasting value and beauty that are energy-efficient and require little maintenance are the goals that guide my work.
My approach is client-centered. Whether working from blueprints or sketches on scratch paper, I listen to the people who are going to be using and enjoying what I build. What they have to say reveals what is most important to them about their project. This insight allows me to focus my efforts in ways that will provide them with exactly what they are hoping for.
